Folktales about Wisdom and Cleverness (rubric attached below and student work): If you are up against an enemy who is big and strong and you need to save your life, how are you going to do it?
Students picked an invention, did some research, thought about the impact of the invention, and created an ebook using Book Creator. We used the fun app called Pettson's Inventions to hook the students into thinking about inventions. Then we had them research the who/when/where of the invention, and create a book with a thoughtful introduction, analysis of the problem the invention solved and the way it changed people's lives, and a conclusion. Then synching the iPads, we created a bookshelf of inventions books!
